Sydney Week 5 – Nicole Wilson

Week 5 was great, as we got to start our new round of classes. On Monday, Michelle and I went to the cafe downstairs to watch the Super Bowl. We were rooting for the Chiefs because Travis Kelce is Taylor Swift’s boyfriend and we just wanted her to be happy. Sydney Week 4 – Nicole Wilson

Week 4 was another lovely week! On Monday, I was awoken at 4:40 am by Nicole getting home from the final night in Melbourne. We then had to frantically pack our bags and get to the lobby by 5 am. Sydney Week 3 – Nicole Wilson

Week 3 was great and ended with an amazing weekend in Melbourne!! On Monday, I got coffee at the cafe with a friend to recap the weekend before I had to jump on Teams for an interview (that never actually happened due to a mishap with the link). Sydney Week 2 – Nicole Wilson

Week 2 in Sydney was just as amazing as Week 1! On Monday we had class from 3-7 and then John and I had to work on our presentation for Aussie Life and Culture after that. The presentation was actually very interesting, it was about the gender roles in Australia and how the common images of Australians in the media help contribute to the sexism that is still prevalent in the US. Sydney Week 1 – Nicole Wilson

Our first week in Sydney has been pretty amazing. On our first day, we arrived very early and got an initial tour of Sydney. We walked around the Botanical Gardens and found a nice spot to sit and talk. For our Welcome Dinner, I got a Chicken Schnitzel Burger, but some of my friends tried Kangaroo.
