This week a group of 6 of us traveled to Phuket, Thailand. Within Phuket, we stayed in the town of Pa tong which has a vibrant nightlife culture. Pictured to the left was a live music restaurant/bar that was New York themed where I met a few other Americans. Pictured below is me and the 5 other classmates on ATV’s driving up to the Big Buddha. I have never been on an ATV before and exploring the forest of Pa Tong on them was the best way to learn! This week at GreenFi was special too as I finished my […]
Week 5 consisted of a great co-working experience for me and the other two GreenFi interns. One of the co-founders took us to the Marina Bay Sands golfing range in the morning to get to know each other better, talk about the work we have been doing, and the bright future and ambitions of the company. Our team of interns has progressed on key deliverables regarding the back end of our AI models. Discussing how what we are creating is going to help companies and individuals become more knowledgeable about ESG initiatives is a rewarding feeling! Also, as someone who […]
During week three in Singapore, my friends and I continued to explore the city and see different things it has to offer. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I have been excited to try Singapore’s array of food options. The hawker centers provide a cheap and explorative menu that are worth experiencing! Some of the food that I was surprised to see on various menu’s was barbecue stingray, intestines of something, and then shark fin soup. I was actually very disappointed to see shark fin soup on the menu as it is extremely unethical and unsustainable to purposefully catch, kill, and eat […]
Week 4 consisted of an exciting weekend trip to Bali! After a week of hard work I was able to relax with some friends I met in Sydney in Seminyak and Nusa Penida. I have never been to Bali before and being able to explore parts of the world like this which are only a couple hour flight away is incredible! From experiencing exciting nightlife to renting scooters mopeds during the day and exploring different beaches, it was a weekend to remember. Pictured to the left is kelingking beach on Nusa Penida which is a small island about an hour […]
This was a great week as I felt more settled into Singapore after the first week. Singapore is very different from Sydney in many ways, so adapting to the culture and space I am in took some time. As I settled into my internship and their expectations from me, I was able to explore the city and check some things off my to do list. Pictured to the left is the pool at the top of the Marina Bay Sands. One of our classmates parents had visited them and were generous enough to take a group of us out to […]
