Australia Week 4 – James Hudson

This weekend we took had an excursion to the Hunter Valley to visit two wineries. The bus ride was roughly two hours long and we briefly stopped halfway for a bathroom break and some food. We got to the first winery, Brokenwood Wines, and were immediately greeted by a cold glass of wine on a very hot sunny day. After taking about 15 minutes to enjoy the wine and decompress from the bus ride, we started the tour run by the chief winemaker, Stuart Hordern. Australia Week 3 – James Hudson

This week we went on a trip to Melbourne. Melbourne was beautiful and the views were spectacular. My friends and I decided to to tour the city on Lime scooters which were the public rental electric scooters readily available on most streets in Melbourne. The weather was amazing and seeing a new city in Sydney was very fun. The Lime transportation was very cheap and Melbourne felt a lot more like a city than Sydney. James Hudson Week 2 Blog Post

This past week my friends and I ventured out to Manly Beach. We had to take a train and then a ferry but the journey was well worth it. The ferry ride was beautiful, as it passed right by the Sydney Opera House on a beautiful sunny day. Manly Beach was connected to a beautiful town but was definitely more crowded than Bondi Beach. James Hudson Week 1 Blog Post

Upon arrival in Sydney, we were pleasantly greeted by warm weather and had high spirits despite a long trip and arriving at 6 am. The first day involved general housekeeping activities like checking into our hotel, learning where our classes were, and having a brief orientation. We capped off our first day by having a welcome dinner where most of us were able to try kangaroo which was surprisingly delicious.
