Singapore Week 3

During week three in Singapore, my friends and I continued to explore the city and see different things it has to offer. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I have been excited to try Singapore’s array of food options. The hawker centers provide a cheap and explorative menu that are worth experiencing! Some of the food that I was surprised to see on various menu’s was barbecue stingray, intestines of something, and then shark fin soup. I was actually very disappointed to see shark fin soup on the menu as it is extremely unethical and unsustainable to purposefully catch, kill, and eat sharks. During my time studying marine biology in high school, I learned about the detrimental effects of killing sharks for food has on the marine ecosystem.

While I love to explore different food places, I also like to try out different night life spots. Pictured to the left is my friend James and I in a club called Marquee. This club is inside of the Marina Bay Sands and is an incredible venue to visit. Other than the music and dance floor, they have fascinating opportunities to take pictures in light boxes like the one pictured, or even enjoy a Ferris wheel trip inside the club!

Pictured here is a tasty taco place a couple minute walk away from our living accommodations. They offer great Mexican good along with a great drink menu!
