This was a great week as I felt more settled into Singapore after the first week. Singapore is very different from Sydney in many ways, so adapting to the culture and space I am in took some time. As I settled into my internship and their expectations from me, I was able to explore the city and check some things off my to do list. Pictured to the left is the pool at the top of the Marina Bay Sands. One of our classmates parents had visited them and were generous enough to take a group of us out to dinner. The view was unlike any other as we took in break taking scenic views of the Singapore city skyline.

Later on in the week I visited the Garden’s By The Bay for one of the nightly light shows. After a 30 minute commute, I arrived just in time to lie down beneath one of the structures to enjoy the show. It was a Thursday at 8:45, but there was still a large crowd. The songs that are played switch every two weeks so I am going to make sure to come back later during my time in Singapore to witness a different show. I would recommend going to the light show on a weekday so it is not as busy! Also, stopping at the Hawker Center called Lau Pa Sat either before or after the show for some food is highly recommended!
