This week was my second week in Singapore. At this point, I had lots of time to settle into my new living and working situation. I am also starting to get to know my coworkers at Kaizenvest better. This week, we had the opportunity to all hang out after work and socialize outside of the office. It was great to get to know everyone and make connections that will last me for the rest of my life.
Aside from socializing outside of work, I had the opportunity to work on some complex financial modeling for a live deal. It was great to apply all the modeling skills I have learned at Bucknell to a real world example. While it took me a few tries to get it right, this project was a great learning opportunity for me that I will be able to use in all of my future endevors.
Perhaps the best part of this week though was going to Bintan Island in Indonesia. We stayed at a beautiful resort right on the beach. I was able to relax by the pool all day which was much needed after a difficult week of work. Me and my friends even were able to go for a night swim in the ocean Friday and Saturday night, which was very fun.
