Spring Break
This past week was an interesting one! We went on a trip to Cairns in northern Australia where we were able to check out the great barrier reef. Although the snorkeling trip was out of this world, the rest of the trip was very questionable.
We arrived in Cairns missing one person, after having celebrated our departure from Sydney at the Pyrmont bridge Hotel (the 24/7 bar). Two people from our group decided it was a good idea to pull an all-nighter at the bar which inevitably resulted in Ethan missing his flight and having to meet us later in the day.
After reaching our accommodation for the week, Gilligans, we (the 8 guys) quickly decided to book an airbnb on the outskirts of town which led to problems. On the third night, after returning to the airbnb, we were greeted by an older man shouting and banging on the door to the apartment below us. This eventually led to the police getting involved and our night getting dragged out until about 4 am. After returning to Gilligans, I quickly realized that it was not worth it to stay in the airbnb after-all.
