Port Stephens

While in Sydney we had the opportunity to meet other Americans, primarily from California, who were also studying abroad. After spending countless days going to various beaches and bars with them, we decided to plan a trip up the coast to a 7 mile long beach. I booked an AirBnB in Port Stephens Australia in the most stunning location ever. The place we stayed was a 5 minute walk to what seemed like endless sand dunes and a beach that stretched on forever.
While swimming one day I had an out of body experience to share a wave with 4 or 5 dolphins not 10 feet away from me. This was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. Additionally, just before dark, we went in the water to wrap up the trip and just beside our feet were 15 stingrays simply cruising along the beach. Although the trip to get to the house was a long 5 hours mixed between walking, taking a train and multiple buses it was well worth it and this will go down as one of my best memories in Australia. I hope that one day I will be able to return to this same beach.
