During our next week in in Singapore, I continued in my same routine. On Monday I headed into work and got started on everything for the week. That night when I got home I decided to go on a longer walk and explore the city some more. I ended up walking way farther than I anticipated but was able to see much more of the city which was super nice. I did accidentally get lost because I was distracted talking on the phone but ultimately made it back after a while.
This week was a bit different as there was a holiday Wednesday so we only had for days of work. This was super nice since Tuesday night I was able to spend more time with some friends and head out to dinner. Then on Wednesday I took more of the day to walk around and take time to relax. That night, my roommates parents were visiting and found a glow in the dark pickleball court. It was super fun to go play and was located right in the middle of the city which was super fun. After this we headed over to Satay street for dinner. This was so fun and a change of scenery from what we typically eat for dinner which was so nice.
Then on Thursday and Friday I went to work as usual. Friday night I went to see a DJ, Tiesto, who is pretty popular in the US so it was so much fun that he was here in Singapore. I was able to make my way to the front of the crowd too!! Saturday, I decided to explore much more of the city as well. I walked all the way down to Gardens By the Bay which is pretty far and hot from where we are staying in Orchard. Here I was able to go to the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest which are two popular spots here in Singapore. They were both really cool and I enjoyed taking the time to walk around and explore before hopping on a train home. Later that night I explored the Clarke Quay area some more with friends and walked around there. Then on Sunday I went to Fort Canning Park which was an old fort owned by the British. There’s a lot of history here which was cool to walk around and learn more about.
