Our third week in Singapore! This week I really started getting adjusted and getting used to my life here. The first two weeks were a big adjustment for me but this week I really settled into a good routine. Other than work this week I had a few fun dinners and got to explore the city some more.
On Tuesday I headed out to dinner for a friends birthday. We went upstairs to a restaurant at the top of the Marina Bay Sands. We were there to watch the light show and for sunset which was super pretty. It was crazy how much of the city I could actually see and it was so much fun to look out and see all the sights around Singapore. For dinner I got some pasta and they brought out a piece of cake for my friends birthday.

On Wednesday after work I headed out to another dinner at a restaurant called Cook & Brew. For dinner this night I got a burger and some sweet potato fries. It was fun to switch up meals and check out a new spot around Singapore. Thursday and Friday I went to work and relaxed more when I got home those nights.
Saturday during the day we had a group cooking class to attend. This cooking class was to make a dish called Laksa. We went to a lady’s home a bit away from our hotel. Out in the back of her house she had cooking stations and ingredients set out for us. We worked in pairs of two and were taught how to make the dish. Once we completed this we were able to sit around a eat our meals which we made.

On Sunday, we went to the Botanical Gardens in the morning. We were able to walk around and had a tour guide who brought us around all the different spots around the garden. They had a cool indoor part and we walked around the ginger fields too. We then went out to lunch as a group at a nice restaurant they had. After this I decided to go on a walk. I took the train toward the water and stopped to see the Merlion statue. I then walked around and sat looking out over the harbor before heading back to rest before the next week.
