Singapore – Week 10

For my first week in Singapore, it was definitely a time of adjustment. Adjusting from classes to working was not too hard but did take some time to get used to. I am spending my 8 weeks here interning at Qapita, which has a platform that helps private companies digitally manage CapTables and ESOP programs. My first week working has been great and all of my coworkers are amazing to work with!

My parents also came to visit this week. It was amazing to see them and allowed for them to get a glimpse into what I am experiencing abroad. My parents stayed at the Marina Bay Sands and lots of our time was spent there together. The hotel is beautiful and had some of the most breathtaking views that I have ever seen. We were able to eat at various restaurants and experience the amazing food that Singapore has to offer. I really enjoyed having the time with them and telling them stories of my times in Australia.

Later in the week, we visited Universal Studios Singapore. It was a great experience where I was able to shop and also visit one of the few beaches that are here. I was also able to experience the amazing street food that Singapore has to offer. For less than 10 dollars, you can get the best food ever in less than 10 minutes. Some of the stands are also Michelin star restaurants! Safe to say that my first week in Singapore was a great one. I am excited for the next seven weeks and what is to come!
