WEEK 7

This past week during our 7th week here we explored some more and continued to enjoy our time here. Starting Monday and Tuesday was a slow start to the week. I spent a lot of time walking around Sydney and finishing up some work for classes as the week began. On Tuesday I headed over to Bondi to look for some souveniers to bring home and went on the Bondi to Coogee cliff walk.

Wednesday I had two classes and then we decided to have a barbeque with some friends at their apartment. They have a nice outdoor grill so we were able to use that and make some hot dogs and burgers for the night. Thursday I also had two classes which kept me pretty busy during the day. But that night since we do not have classes on Friday I was able to head out and spend some time with friends for the night.

We had a relaxing last weekend here as it was pretty rainy and the weather was not the nicest. On Friday I went for a nice long walk and headed out to dinner in Darling Harbour. We went out to a nice burger restaurant before heading back to our hotel. Saturday, in the morning we had a tour of the Opera House. This was super interesting to hear about the history and see some of the concert halls and theaters inside. We also went out to the Yacht Club restaurant in Darling Harbour. Here I got a good Poke bowl for dinner before heading over to Bondi for the night.

Finally, on Sunday I headed over to the Blue Mountains for the day. This is just west of Sydney about 2 1/2 hours away. We were able to hop on a train which took us right there. We decided to do one short hike down to a beautiful waterfall. There were lots of stairs on the way back up which were very tiring and long. But going down to the waterfall and going in the water as seen in the photos below was so worth it!!

I can not believe we only have one week left here in Sydney! Time is flying by and I am getting so sad to be leaving our new home here so soon.
