This weekend my friends and I travelled to Bali. This was a trip I have been excited for before I even came abroad as I have heard great things about the natural beauty of Bali. I arrived on Friday night and took an hour and a half taxi ride to our villa which we had rented. As soon as I arrived I met my friends at a local bar/restaurant to get some food. This establishment had live music and I was invited on stage to play guitar for a few songs which was a whole lot of fun. Following this, we each took a ride on a back of a moped further into town to check out some other establishments – one that included a restaurant that extended onto the sand.
The next day my friends and I headed to Finns Beach Club as one of the Bucknell alumni in Singapore was friends with the owner. This alumni managed to get us a VIP table at one of the most exclusive places in Bali – just shows the amazing connection with Bucknell Alumni. This was incredible fun and a day I’ll always remember.
On Sunday, we all took a ferry to Nusa Pedina Island. This island is very rural and not build up. To get around on the island we had to use mopeds which we had rented. We stayed on this island for two days and took many motorcycle rides to some of the incredible beaches that this island had to offer.
