Within the first couple of days in Singapore, I had to visit some of the main tourist attractions like the Marina Bay Sands! This hotel is even more stunning when seen in person at night. I was able to catch the light show that occurs every night! There are a couple nice restaurants at the top level which I am excited to hopefully try at some point during my time here.
Another very noticeable thing about Singapore is that it is incredibly humid and hot at all times of the day!
The start to my internship has been a great experience. The two co-founders and an analyst pictured in this photo did a great job of introducing us to GreenFi’s model and their goal as a startup! We were tasked with putting what GreenFi does into our own words after learning about the company. GreenFi is an ESG platform for sustainable financing and supply chain. It maximizes the array of information from different sources surrounding ESG and compiles this information into a user-friendly model. Understanding what is happening behind the scenes of financing and a product can take weeks for a corporate team, while it takes far less time and manpower with GreenFi’s model. Not only does the data provided leave you without a mess of data to understand, but it also provides suggestions on how the user can made more informed decisions based on the product and/or companies they are dealing with. With issues such as Greenwashing and immoral employment practices around the world, GreenFi sheds light on issues and prevents similar mistakes while providing possible solutions.
