Lion City Legends- Week 6
This penultimate week in Singapore has been another exciting whirlwind of adventures! As I continued my exploration of Gardens by the Bay, I found myself utterly mesmerized by its smallest (in size) yet most enchanting exhibit: Floral Fantasy. I also embarked on an exhilarating first-time experience—glamping! Nestled along the picturesque shore of East Coast Park, we pitched our tent, ready to immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature.
Highlight #1: Floral Fantasy
Walking amidst 15,000 blooms cascading from above, I found solace in the tranquil atmosphere, accompanied by the soothing sounds of bubbling water. Meeting Nobu, the “Garden Guardian”, added a sprinkle of charm to the tour. The journey culminated in a thrilling 4D ride at the Floral Fantasy Theatre, where we soared through all the exhibits at Gardens by the Bay from a dragonfly’s perspective. As the sun set, the iconic Garden Rhapsody show transformed the Supertree Grove into a mesmerizing spectacle of lights and music, showcasing the mind-boggling fusion of art and technology that left us all in awe.
Highlight #2: Glamping
Venturing into the world of “glamping” was like stepping into a new refreshing world of fun. Sure, the sandy shores may not have been what I expected like back home in Florida, but the cozy setup at the park was the perfect ambiance for a glamorous camping retreat. Amidst the laughter and board games, I sampled for the first time one of Singaporean’s favorite desserts: jelly cheesecake—a sweet fusion of my childhood favorite treats. As the gentle breeze whispered through the trees, playful antics of Callosciurus Notatuses, also known as Singapore squirrels, entertained us, adding a touch of wildlife appeal to our urban escape.
As our Singapore trip draws near to a close, I am filled with an overwhelming amount of gratitude for the unforgettable experiences and breathtaking moments shared. From the tranquil oasis of Floral Fantasy to the excitement of embarking on my first glamping adventure, each highlight has added a vibrant chapter to my Singaporean journey- one that I’ll cherish forever!
