This weekend my friends and I had the luxury of going to Phuket Thailand. Thailand was one of the most incredible places I have ever been. Little Tuk Tuks (essentially small trucks that have speakers and LED lights in them) can take you anywhere. The weather was scorching hot and sunny every day we were there. We wanted to take advantage of our short time there so we planned an activity for every single day.

On day 1 we went ATVing and walked around the Big Buddha which was awesome. The ATVing was a little underwhelming as we traveled mostly up and down rocky hills. The Big Buddha was amazing though. It was a sacred sight where we saw Monks praying in unison, golden statues of past monks, amazing architecture, incredible views, and all took turns taking photos with the Buddha. Later that night we also attended a classic Muay Thai fight. The fights progressed from age 14-23 with each one being more exciting the prior. We all got free t-shirts and actually were able to take a photo with the last champion and his belt.

On the second day we did a full day boat trip to the Phi Phi Islands. The weather was beautiful and the water looked incredible but due to my injury the doctor advised against swimming. The boat trip was still worth it as they dropped us off at 3 different islands and we were able to explore. The crew on the boat were awesome, serving cold fruit and water all day in the hot sun.

The last day before we flew out later that night was designated to exploring Bangalore road, where most of the shops are. Everything was bartering and it was just an overall different experience than anywhere in the US. Overall trip was amazing and my friends and I really want to go back!!
