Week 3

This past week we had the opportunity to travel to Melbourne and it was amazing! While in Melbourne I was able to meet some old family friends, whom I haven’t connected with since they moved here 6 years ago. Additionally, I saw Sean Paul perform live at a bar on my first night in Melbourne. After watching the performance, a few friends and I decided to bar crawl around the city and see some of the famous local bars. On Saturday morning, we took advantage of the local Lime scooters as we explored as much as we could in the short period of time we had in the city.

I found it a very interesting meeting with the Bucknell Alumni for lunch on Sunday afternoon. Hearing his story about just taking the opportunity to move to Australia was very unique and I was able to relate to his accounting background. I wonder if one day I might work abroad for a number of years.

One thing I found very unique about Melbourne was the intense graffiti along various alley ways. Usually, graffiti is viewed as reckless and looked down upon, however, in Melbourne it is viewed as a display of talent and art. My favorite murals consist of a massive gorilla wearing a crown as well as ACDC lane.
