This week was our first week in Singapore. We had a very quick turnaround from arriving here on Sunday and then starting work the next day. However, I wasn’t able to start working until around 1pm because of my Ministry of Manpower appointment.
I have already learned so much in my first week working at Kaizenvest. The firm invests in education companies throughout Southeast Asia, which I have found to be very interesting. I have already been able to work on many different projects, such as financial models.
On Saturday, we had the opportunity to visit Sentosa Island. There were so many different things to do there that it was hard to choose how I wanted to spend the day. Me and some friends ended up choosing to go on an inflatable obstacle course in the ocean called Hydrodash. It ended up being so much fun, but unfortunately I didn’t put on sunscreen and got a pretty bad burn.
Despite my sunburn, I had an amazing first week in Singapore and I look forward to the rest of the trip!
