My final G’day! This week we traveled to Cairns, Australia for our much needed Spring Break! All of Bucknell stayed in a hostel/resort called Gilligan’s which always had something going on! My friend and I got an Airbnb for the week because we had our girlfriends coming to visit us and as much as we wanted to be with everyone, it was much too complicated trying to get them rooms at Gilligan’s. Landing in Cairns, it was a much different Australia than I was used to, it almost felt like I was in Costa Rica! The main attractions were the boardwalk with a beautiful ferries wheel that scoped out the entire city, traveling to waterfalls and hiking, island trips, expensive dinners…, and fun nights at Gilligan’s! It was a lot of fun that I will remember for the rest of my life, even though I got a hefty cleaning charge for something that was already there! Apart from Port Stephens and Melbourne, I hadn’t really had the opportunity to travel Australia so I’m very happy this was our spring break as it seemed like a completely different Australia! As the week winds down, I will be headed to Singapore where we all jump right into our jobs with only a day to settle in… thanks GAV! I will be working at UL Solutions, a global independence safety science company! I will inform everyone what that means when I find out myself! G’night folks (man I’m going to miss saying that!)
