After a long day of travel, we finally arrived at our resort. The first thing I did when we got there was eat lunch. I had a burger with the resort name branded on it! When I finished eating, I wasn’t feeling well, so I went and laid down for a bit. Once I woke up, I walked around the resort and explored a bit. Under one of the staircases, I saw some giant lizards just hanging out on a tree! I then made my way to walk along the beach before spending the rest of the day in the pool. The resort had a tiny karaoke bar, so us students on the trip took it over, having a fun time just singing and hanging out. I ended the night walking along the beach at night, which was very peaceful!
I spent all of Saturday at the pool with my friends. The only time we left was when it began to rain. We took cover in the restaurant for a late lunch. We had a group dinner at a restaurant on the water, with beautiful views of the last bits of the sunset! After dinner, we went back to the karaoke bar, and the staff remembered us! They even gave us mints and cookies while we sat there. We again made our way back to the beach at night, just relaxing by the water.
Before our ferry left the island on Sunday, I spent the day reading by the pool.
The resort was beautiful and had many opportunities for those who wanted to explore the rest of the island a bit more. Unfortunately, almost all of the activities I was interested in were booked. Luckily, that meant that the pool was not that crowded. It was a very relaxing weekend, and it was a good way to get out of Singapore for a bit.
