Week 8 was our final week here in Sydney, Australia. It is so bittersweet to be leaving as this has been one of the best experiences of my life but I am so excited for what the rest of the trip holds as well. This week was unfortunately super busy with finishing up classes and finals so there was not a ton of time to spend in the city.
On Monday of this week I spent a lot of the day preparing for finals and getting myself organized for the week. I spent Monday at a review session for my Tax course and then stayed at UTS for the day to get some other work done before heading to class for the afternoon. On Tuesday I only had my morning tax class so I headed to the beach for one last time after. I took the ferry with two of my roommates over to Manly for the day. For lunch I picked up an Acai bowl and sat on the beach for the day. Later in the afternoon we met up with some other Bucknell people on the program to swim before heading over to a Mexican restaurant for some dinner.
On Wednesday I had two classes so I was pretty busy for most of the day especially since this was my last day of Business Law. But after class we went over to our friends apartment and had a barbeque with them. We also stopped by a cookie and ice cream place on our way home from their apartment. Thursday I went to my last class of the program. The rest of the day I stayed at UTS working on my Business Law assignment before heading home to start packing up my things.
On Friday morning, I went back to UTS early in the morning to finish up all of my work that I needed to submit. I finished my last question of Business Law and then took my tax exam. I was a bit panicked this day and so sad to be leaving Sydney. Once I finished everything I took the time to pack up all my things and make sure I was prepared for the next week of travel to Cairns and then to Singapore. My roommate got back from her exam a bit later so we walked around and then went back to the same restaurant we actually went to the first day we were here. They had these croissant pancakes which we had been saying the entire time we wanted to try. Finally, for our last dinner we headed back to the Opera Bar. We got some good dinner here and said bye to our other Bucknell friends before leaving Sydney the next morning.
