Adventures into Aussie Land – Week 6

During Week 6 in Australia, I embraced local experiences and ventured into new activities that left a lasting impression. One standout moment was embarking on an early morning sunrise run from our Pyrmont accommodation. As I traced my path towards Bondi Beach, the sight of dawn unfolding before me was truly invigorating. Completing the run, I stumbled upon a charming Crepes corner shop, compelling me to indulge in a delicious breakfast treat. Eager to seize the moment, I even took a refreshing dip in the ocean before catching a train back for my 9 am class. With its rejuvenating allure, I anticipate repeating this run several times before our departure for Cairns in a few weeks.

Another memorable highlight of the week was spending a leisurely Friday unwinding on the shores of Maroubra beach. Here, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with fellow Bucknellians participating in the University of New South Wales program. Amidst the backdrop of sun and sand, we engaged in lively discussions comparing our respective programs, enriching our understanding of our academic experiences abroad. As the weekend unfolded, I found moments of relaxation interspersed with diligent preparation for my upcoming International Finance midterm scheduled for Monday. Immersing myself in the intricacies of the FX market, I’ve found immense enjoyment in exploring concepts like arbitrage and the dynamic interplay of global financial markets.
