This past week consisted of lots of reconnecting with nature! We went to the Figure 8 pool in the Royal National Park. It was so beautiful and the view on the way was breathtaking with the hike through the woods and the beach as well as the layer of rocks we had to climb through. The hike itself was one of the hardest ones I have ever done before, but the end result of being able to see and swim in the pool made it worth the trek.

I also tried my first pie! There was beef brisket with mushrooms and red wine sauce, and it was so good with the tomato sauce (ketchup).
Also checked off another thing off my bucket list with seeing the fireworks at Darling Harbour! Made it right at 9 pm and it was as amazing as I thought it would be as previous times we had seen it from our apartment window. The colors and the different types of fireworks being fired was a show to see!

To end off the week, we went to Port Stephens by renting a car and making it a day trip! Our trip consisted of sand boarding and feeding stingrays and sharks. We ended this day with a sunset hike with the most beautiful view of two beaches and a sunset with amazing colors. I think my last weekend in Sydney was one of my most memorable!
