I started off the week by going to a boat party around Sydney harbor. The views were stunning and we got to see all angles of the Sydney bridge, the Opera House, and the skyline. There, I came across Grace, Ais, Jocelyn, and Lexie. I met so many cool students studying in Sydney from around the world. I had a great time… until I got sick on Tuesday
On Tuesday, we went to trivia with our Business Law professor Vicki Beyer. Since there were many of us, we split into two teams. But since I still have not finished my tax homework, I decided to finish my tax homework while playing trivia. The host loved making fun of us Americans and kept pointing us out. “So many Americans here tonight”, she repeatedly stated. My team did poorly that night, but it was all good since we we had fun.
After that, I was basically out of service for the rest of the week since I got sick.
But in our tax class with Dr. Alexander, we got two visits from Bucknell alums: Mr. Matthew of Pretium and Ms. Stoddard of Meta. Mr. Matthew shared with us his experience in real estate, which is fascinating. Ms. Stoddard brought VR headsets and other cool Meta wearable technology. I am very thankful to Dr. Alexander for organizing these alumni visits.
