Sydney Week 6 – Nicole Wilson

We started the week off right on Monday by going to Bondi Junction before our 3:30 class to go shopping. I got two very cute dresses at Cotton: On, which is my new favorite store. There was a Coles in the mall, so I did my grocery shopping for the week. Michelle branched off from Nicole and I, so we got food in the food court. I got fish and chips from a fresh fish market for only 13 AUD, which was fantastic. When we needed to leave for class, we discovered that it was downpouring. We decided to take the train back, which was cool because it was my first time on the Aussie trains. When we got home, we went to Business Law. At night, we got caught up on the final episodes of The Bachelor so that we could watch the newest episode coming out the next day.

On Tuesday, I got up at 10 and was able to FaceTime with my family, who were on vacation in Jackson Hole, Wyoming on a skiing trip. After, I went to Global Management. At 7, we went to Tuesday trivia at the Q with Professor Vicki and some people from our Business Law class (we did not do very well). When we got home, Nicole, Michelle, and I watched the newest episode of The Bachelor. Zane and Ned came over towards the end and it was really funny listening to Zane’s opinions about the women. When it was over, we went to bed. On Wednesday, we had Business Law in the afternoon. When we got home, we got a call from Lexie about cheap flights to Bali while we are in Singapore, so we booked our tickets. I cooked some dinner, and then Nicole and Michelle went out for Jackson’s birthday, but I stayed home because I was really tired.

Thursday was Michelle and my long day of classes again. When we got home, we started watching old episodes of The Bachelorette, because I got Nicole and Michelle hooked on it. When we were getting ready for bed, the drain in Nicole and my bathroom started leaking really badly, so we had to wrap it in a towel and call the front desk. On Friday, Michelle and I had a quiz in International Marketing and then at night, Manolo came over and cooked dinner for Michelle and I because Nicole was at Bondi with Jackson. He made bolognese but let me take some sauce before putting the meat in, which was very nice. I made some garlic bread, and we had a very nice dinner. After dinner, we watched 10 Things I Hate About You, since Michelle has been showing me classic rom-coms. Part way through the movie, Zane and Ned came over to watch the end with us.

On Saturday, we decided to go to a bunch of different jazz bars with Nicole’s friends from U Delaware. Manolo and Zane came with us for the beginning but left a little early. After the second bar, they decided to go to a club, so Michelle and I decided to walk home. On Sunday, I spent most of the day finishing up my Business Law midterm. We watched some more Bachelorette at night, and then went to bed. This week was a little more chill than others and had a bit more work than usual, but it was still really fun. I didn’t take many photos, though, but I will take more next week!
