Week 6 in Sydney

This week was a bit more busy in terms of the work load for my classes. I had my normal homework for my tax class plus my first midterm in my business law class. The midterm was take-home so I was able to reference the textbook and other sources to help with my answers. I think the exam went well and I am eager to get my grade back.

At the beginning of this week, a few of my classmates and I happened to find our business law professor at a trivia night at a small bar not far from our hotel. We formed two teams, but both ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard by the end of the night. Regardless, it was a fun night and I plan on attending again next week.

Over the weekend, my roommates and I took a trip to Tasmania. While we were here we did a short boat tour around parts of the island where we saw some insane rock formations. We also did I hike across multiple mountains that took just about all day and got to see some great views. It was awesome to see the things that other states of Australia has to offer. When we got back, I explored some unseen parts of the city with a few Bucknellians on the trip. We visited a hand full of speakeasies that all had live music. It was interesting to hear the style of music that was being played at these bars compared to the typical country or rock that I’m used to hearing in the states. While we were out, I also got a chance to meet some of the students from other schools on this program that I will be traveling to New Zealand with for my internship.
