Week 6 Blog

G’Day! Surprise surprise I was at the beach again! I can’t get enough of the culture here and how friendly everyone is. I took this picture of the stage they set up in Bondi Beach for Sophie Ellis-Bextor, you might know her better as the woman who sings Murder on the Dance Floor! Although I didn’t get to see her in person, it was the thought that counts! Federal Income Tax is a super interesting class to take especially down under. Dr. Alexander has been an amazing professor and has made class very engaging! She recently brought in two Bucknell alumni who have experienced Sydney and couldn’t leave which doesn’t help my cause… One of the alumni is now working for Meta and she was generous enough to bring in the latest version of the Quest VR goggles for the class to try which was very interesting. It has a built in cameras which show the real world around us while having all the abilities of a VR unit. In my organizational behavior class, we are studying lots of case studies that relate to all functions of an organization including externalities, management, etc. I have a midterm coming up which shouldn’t be too difficult however because we are squeezing these courses into 4 weeks, it is worth a lot of my grade so you better bet I’ll be studying! All in all, I’ve had an amazing week and as Singapore is coming up, I really don’t want to leave… However I know that it will also be an amazing experience and can’t wait to take that leap of faith. Hopefully I come back to everyone with good news on my midterm! G’Night!
