G’Day! This week was not terribly eventful however I got a chance to go to the beach a few times! I have decided to dedicate this blog post to each of the main beaches I have been to these past weeks! The first is Bondi Beach, the most classic of them all! I used to grow up watching Bondi Rescue on TV so it was truly amazing to come here and see them recording new episodes. Bondi is one of Sydney’s largest beaches and is the closest ocean beach to the city center. Public transportation makes it very accessible to us and only costs about $4 AUD in total! Talking to the locals, I have learned that many of them don’t like Bondi because of it being a tourist attractions however they forgot that I am a tourist! There are lots of trendy bars and shops close to the beach and it is always a blast exploring! My second favorite beach is Manly Beach. This isn’t as big as Bondi however is still very fun! We take a ferry out of Darlington Harbor which only costs about $2 AUD to get here. After a scenic ferry ride, its a short walk to the beach which is also lined with lots of shops and bars. It isn’t as quite packed as Bondi which I appreciate as a surfer and the water is always nice! Manley is famous as it held the worlds first surfing contest back in 1964! It has incredible waves which attract surfers from all over! All in all, I plan to explore as many beaches as possible and I wish all my friends over in Lewisburg the best with the snow! Personally, I would much rather be sprawling at a beach, but that’s just me! G’Night!
