Week 4 in Sydney was filled with unforgettable experiences. Despite the demands of our final week of classes and assessments, I managed to carve out time for some memorable activities. Amidst the rigorous exam preparation, I found solace in visiting the beach multiple times. One standout moment was embarking on the Coogee Beach to Bondi Beach walk at sunrise, a breathtaking 3-mile journey along the picturesque coastline. Accompanied by a newfound friend from the University of Michigan, the walk offered not only stunning scenery but also the opportunity to forge meaningful connections with fellow students from various universities.
The week concluded on a high note with The Island boat party on Sunday. Featuring performances by two acclaimed Sydney-born artists, the event extended well into the evening, providing unforgettable views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge against the backdrop of the setting sun. Hoping to relive the magic, I aspire to attend another Sunday event on The Island before departing. Additionally, I had the pleasure of befriending some locals, further enriching my experience in Australia.
As if scripted by fate, this week I encountered a familiar face from my elementary school days in New Jersey. They now attend Lehigh University and are also studying abroad here at UTS, serving as a poignant reminder of the interconnectedness of our world.
