Week 5 was great, as we got to start our new round of classes. On Monday, Michelle and I went to the cafe downstairs to watch the Super Bowl. We were rooting for the Chiefs because Travis Kelce is Taylor Swift’s boyfriend and we just wanted her to be happy. I had a lot of fun teaching Michelle the rules, and we both got pretty into it, and I even yelled a little bit at the screen. Right at the end, Nicole burst into the cafe, since she had just gotten back from New Zealand, and I had been sending her text updates while she was in her Uber. The Chiefs ended up winning in Overtime, which was really exciting for us. The guys were all routing against The Chiefs because of Miss Swift, so we all decided to rub it in a little bit by going to our first Business Law class all dressed in red.

Tuesday, however, was a bit of a sad day. We woke up and learned the news that Taylor Swift had released some additional tickets to her Melbourne and Sydney concerts. My roommates and I all LOVE Taylor Swift, so we made it our mission to get tickets. The tickets were coming out at 4, so we had to go to class first. Michelle and I had our first International Marketing class, which was pretty interesting. After class, I went grocery shopping at Woolworth’s, and before I knew it it was almost time to try to get the tickets. I called an Uber so I would make it home on time, but I got on the ticket site on my phone at 3:35 from my Uber. I had a very interesting conversation with my Uber driver about our new product idea — Shark Repellant — and then when I got home I had to dash upstairs. Michelle, Nicole, and I sat around on our phones and computers in the queue for tickets, but sadly, none of us got in. For dinner, I cooked some Shrimp Scampi, and then that night we went to our favorite speakeasy, The Caterpillar Club.
Wednesday was Galentine’s Day <3!!! We had Business Law until 7, and then all went shopping for dinner. Michelle, Nicole, and I planned a big dinner and a lot of festivities. I made a Spinach Artichoke dip, a Charcuterie board (even though Michelle had to teach me how to make it pretty), and made everyone Cosmos. Michelle made Steak and Potatoes for her and Nicole and made us Pomegranate Margaritas. Nicole was supposed to make a berry cake, but we were all too full by then. I wrote Michelle and Nicole both cards and bought them some chocolates that I gave them at dinner. After dinner, we watched ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’, which I thought was really funny.

Thursday was our extra-long class day. Michelle and I started at 12 and didn’t get back until 7. After Business Law, Manolo, David, Nicole, Michelle and I decided to go to El Camino for their half-price fajita night. Back at home, Nicole and Michelle decided to go out, but I wasn’t feeling that well so I decided to stay home, which proved to be the better choice. Friday night we decided to go to Argyle, which was a lot of fun. Saturday was our wine tour in Hunter Valley. It was really interesting to hear them talk about risk mitigation in the wine industry by both growing their own grapes, and also outsourcing in case they have a bad harvest for the year. Nicole and I split a bottle from the first vineyard since they were so expensive, but it was really good. That night, we all stayed in and went to bed early.

On Sunday, Michelle and I took Nicole to Camp Cove. It was so beautiful and so much fun. Michelle and I basically stayed in the water the whole time, swimming along the whole cove and looking for seashells. I did get to read a couple chapters of my book as well, which was really nice. That night, we decided to stay in and start watching this season of the Bachelor, which Nicole and Michelle really enjoyed. We had some wine and leftover Spinach Artichoke dip, and it ended up just being a very fun and relaxing night. Overall, Week 5 was another great week, and I am really excited about my new classes. Until next week!
