Week Four Blog

My fourth week in Australia brought much more time to explore the city. This was the final week of our four-week long semester so we had a few finals to complete. For my Financial Modeling class, I had to complete a group write up on a company and then do an in-person excel test – not too difficult. For my Australian Culture class we simply had to write a research paper on an Australian topic of our choice. I chose to write about how the middle-class in Australia is becoming smaller and smaller due to economic struggles. Overall, my classes for the first semester were very fun and engaging.

On Friday, our day off, I convinced my friends to explore Watsons Bay with me. This is a secluded part of Sydney that we accessed via ferry. We took a short walk off the ferry to Camp Cove which is a small beach on the bay side. While the weather wasn’t good, the beach was very beautiful and the area was even better. I went on a walking trek on the Watson’s Bay trail which led to the tip on the bay. This walk included spectacular views and some good exercise. The weather wasn’t the greatest so I hope I can return when the weather is better.
