Week 4 was another lovely week! On Monday, I was awoken at 4:40 am by Nicole getting home from the final night in Melbourne. We then had to frantically pack our bags and get to the lobby by 5 am. We got to the airport by 5:30 so we had a lot of time to kill. We got some food and I had time to call my parents from the airport before boarding. While on the plane about to take off, we realized that Zane and David didn’t make it on the plane, so we got to listen to Dr. Alexander try to figure out what was going on (they ended up missing the flight and getting one later that day). When we got home, we took naps and Global Management was over Zoom because Nigel came down with COVID. It was a pretty chill day overall. Tuesday we had class in the morning and then another Global Management Zoom in the afternoon. After Global Management, I FINALLY had my interview with UPS. It went very well, and before the call even ended, Ivy told me that she was giving me an offer. At night, Nicole, Michelle and I all had a Disney/Nickelodeon sing-along for around an hour before making dinner and going to bed.
On Wednesday, Michelle and I had our Global Management final. It was pretty easy, and after Nigel got us wine and we went to a Chinese restaurant. We had to leave early because we were going to dinner with John’s mom. She was so nice and so beautiful. We went to the Darling Pavilion and I got a very good Chicken Schnitzel Parmesan. Thursday was our last class of the first “semester”. That night, Casey, Nicole, Michelle and I went to the Caterpillar Club. Just as we were leaving, our bestie bouncer came up to us and told us that Louis Tomlinson from One Direction was in the back room. Obviously, we all sprinted to the back and it was true!! We tried desperately to get a picture, but he was surrounded by bodyguards who kept yelling at us for trying. On Friday, Nicole left for New Zealand and Michelle and I planned on writing our final essays for Aussie Life and Culture, but Michelle ended up napping so I cleaned the apartment top to bottom. At night, Ned, Michelle, and I went to the Pontoon for dinner, which was just a little restaurant on the harbor. We watched the drones put on a light show for the Chinese New Year celebration, which was really cool.

Saturday, Michelle and I actually did write our essays all day. After finishing, we got a beer with Ned to celebrate. After that, we decided to go to the Caterpillar Club again. We invited Jocelyn, Grace, Ashling, and Lexi to come with us. I wasn’t feeling the best, so Ned and I went home early, and Michelle stayed out longer with the girls. On Sunday, Michelle and I decided to have a girl’s day. We got tickets to see Anyone But You at the theater in Broadway Mall. We made dinner reservations at a restaurant called Charlie’s, which ended up being amazing. We took the tram there and had to walk through a bit of a sketchy neighborhood, but it all ended up okay. We got bread to share and Michelle got some AMAZING ceviche and I got equally as amazing scallops for appetizers. After deciding we were still hungry, we both also got the pappardelle dinner, which was kind of like an upscale pasta carbonara. When we got to the theater, Michelle got ice cream for the movie and I got a glass of wine. The movie was so funny and Glen Powell was not bad to look at either. It was another great week, and I’m glad that Michelle and I had such a fun time together. I can’t wait for more weeks like this one!
