Two weeks into my study abroad experience in Australia and it continues to get even better. The first week felt like I was just here on vacation, but now the reality that I am here for 8 weeks has kicked in. I have settled into classes and am aiming to get into a consistent routine that lets me maximize my time here. Without any pre-planned events for the week, I had to opportunity to explore the city alone and with friends. We decided to explore Manly as we heard it was even better than Bondi. We took public transit which included a stunning ferry ride that took up by the Sydney Opera House. I really enjoyed the ferry ride and feel like it was the best part of our trip to Manly beach. Personally, I preferred Bondi beach over Manly – which we ended up visiting again later in the week. Bondi beach includes a beach-side pool which is very unique and inspired us to check it out. This was one of my favorite days on the trip so far as we got to enjoy a beautiful beach day – I even got to surf for the first time in my life.
