G’Day! This is my second vlog here in the land down under and I can say it was an eventful week. Courses are going well! I gave two presentations this week in global management about a case study on Grab, and one on mergers and acquisitions. In my culture course, we have been talking more about the history of the land and the importance it has on shaping Australian culture. This last weekend, two of my friends and I traveled to the Figure Eight Pools! It was about an hour train ride south where we then had to hike for five hours to finally reach our destination. I clocked in 12 miles for the entire day! I have to admit it was one of the coolest things I have ever seen! With endless tide pools and one even in a perfect figure eight shape, we decided to go swimming and talk to some locals. While I highly recommend this, get ready for lots of walking in the heat! Apart from this, I have spent lots of time exploring Sydney and have met lots of new people! I met the entire Brisbane Heat cricket team while enjoying a nice dinner at a pub, and although I don’t have the first clue as to how cricket works, I was happy to tell them I was just watching them on TV! All in all, it has been a very eventful week and I can still admit that I am in love with Australia! I look forward to this next weekend where we will be traveling to Melbourne! I am very excited to explore some new beaches and meet new people! “In case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.” – Jim Carrey.
